    Description

    Up for bid is the TURTLE shaped soup tureen or covered dish.  I would call it a redware pottery, but I am not sure of what material it is made of.   It is handmade and I don't see any identifying marks of it.  It is good condition.  I can't find any cracks.  There are a few rough edges around where the lid and bowl meet and it doesn't set real flat on the table (it doesn't   It measures about 14 1/2" x 7 1/2" tall.  I have included a turtle that could be used for a spoon rest (but it might be an ashtray).  The turtles are not the same in design, but are similar.
