One brand new Schlage D53PD heavy duty, commercial grade 1.... knob/entry lock.
Plymouth design,
626 finish/Satin Chrome.
2 3/4 inch backset.
Sc-1, 5-pin keyway.
This lock is brand new, never used....but without the original box it came in,.
This lock will work in most residential doors....if you modify the back-set
of the door to accept a 2 3/4 inch back-set and a 2 1/8 inch bore hole.
It can be used on residential doors if they are modified to accept 2 3/4 in back-set latches
and a 2 1/8 inch bore hole
Most anyone who  is handy with tools can change the back-set of the door
from 2 3/8 inches to 2 3/4 inches and enlarge the bore hole to 2 1/8 inches without any problems.
Some residential doors are already prepped for a 2 3/4 inch back-set and a
2 1/8 inch bore hole.
The back-set is determined by measuring  from the edge of the door to the
center of the big 2 1/8 inch bore hole the lock body will fit into.
This lock was designed to be used on heavy duty, commercial grade doors, that
take a lot of wear and abuse.

Do not confuse the Schlage "A" series (A53PD) and the "F" series ( F53PD ) locks with these
D"  (D 53-PD ) Series heavy duty, commercial grade, Grade 1 locks.
That would be like comparing a low end Ford or Chevrolet with a high end BMW or Mercedes-Benz.
If you use this lock on a residential door ...it will still be working as they tear your house down
around it.
All kidding aside ...if you use it on your home you will never have to replace it as long as you own the home....assuming it is not damaged or abused.
So actually you will save time and money by installing this heavy duty, high quality lock instead
of having to repair, replace and re-install the cheap , light duty, residential lock made to be used on
most residences.
If you are buying, remodeling, or building a home and plan on living in it for a while ...this is the lock for you.
I installed some of them on the home I built over 25 years ago and have never had to repair or replace
any of them.
Other E-Bay sellers are selling this same lock for between 0.00 to 0.00.
And..........remember.....this "D" series lock is much more heavy duty and much more expensive than
the "A" and "F" series locks advertised on E-Bay.
The regular retail price is approx. 0.00 and my wholesale replacement cost would be over 0.00 if I had to restock it.
The only reason I am selling them so cheap is the fact that I am retiring after 40 years as a locksmith and am liquidating
my inventory, tools, parts and supplies.
