Rare FOSSIL "Large Rose" CORAL -- from FLORIDA
The Fossil Coral ( Manicina areolata
)
This is one of Florida’s oddest fossils from the Pleistocene period, part of the Bermont Formation.
You get the exact specimen shown in the photos above, which is 11.6  cm long.
It was collected at the bottom of the Palm Beach Aggregate Pit, South Fl.   It is now closed like most fossil shell pits in Florida.
