the 2003-ish cCyde mcCoy vox wah V848 was a long awaited reissue of the most famous vox wah of all times.
it sounded great, but had a few shortcomings. noisy /scratchy pot, shrill treble, high hiss level and a narrow frequency range ( which, to be honest, is how most real clydes sound )
with our new SUPER 848, we set out to rectify these concerns and create a fire-breathing hotrodded clyde. more vocal, wider response, less noise and hiss.

gives a very musical experience
that seems to pull the nuances right out of your guitar and fingers! ORGANIC.
FEATURES:
-  our current model uses the improved V2 gagan PCB which now includes 3 way dipswitches for advanced frequency tuning. go from  SUPER Deep to 60s thin and everything in between. (photos still show the dunlop PCB , yours will contain the better PCB)
-yellow fasel inductor for a more aggressive, throaty tone.
-GAGAN smooth pot RV4 military grade pot , 500k audio for a long , even taper and classic real wah tones. the 500k also helps round out the treble for a less ice-picky tone at top end.
-tru bypass with no buffers. 60s clydes had no buffer!
-vintage specially selected transistors, specially chosen for lower hiss and gain. the real vintage feel.
-gain and volume trim pots added to help tailor the volume, grit and low end to your taste. amazing.
-power supply jack.
-huge vintage sprague cap off inductor broadens the harmonic spectrum.
NOTE,made from 90s to 2004 vox v847 USA shell. chrome may have minor finish wear and flaws. base is refinished to loosely mimic the V848 grey metallic tone.
