MXR MC404 CAE Crybaby Dual Inductor Wah Pedal
The CAE Wah allows you to switch between two distinctly-voiced Fasel Inductors with a built-in Boost/Line Driver circuit, internal Q and gain controls, and bright status LEDs on each side of the pedal.
The MC404 CAE Wah was developed by Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics and the Cry Baby design team with the goal of creating a highly versatile wah-wah of top-grade components. It features dual Fasel inductors with two distinct voices (high-end emphasis or low to mid resonance), and a built-in MXR MC401 Boost/LineDriver adds even more flexibility. Choose between inductors and turn the boost on or off with the side-mounted kick switches; bright LEDs on each side of the wah indicate operation status. The MC404 boasts true hardwire bypass, a long-life CTS potentiometer, and internal pots for Q and gain adjustments.
MXR DCIX10R 10ft Professional Right Angled Instrument Cable
Sweet Spot capacitance means these cables are designed to translate the right tonal harmonics from pickups that enable both guitars and basses to sound big and rich, whether acoustic or electric. Oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors keep your instrument's tone pure and OFC spiral shielding blocks unwanted interference while keeping the cable flexible and lightweight. PVC outer jacket enhances flexibility and noise rejection while providing additional protection.

    Power
The MC404 CAE Wah is powered by one 9-volt battery (accessed via the bottom of the pedal), a 9-volt AC Adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003EU or a DC Brick power supply
    Setup Instructions
Run a shielded instrument cable from your guitar to the MC404’s INSTRUMENT jack and run another instrument cable from the MC404’s AMPLIFIER jack to your amp.
To turn the pedal on/off, push the toe of the pedal down until you feel a “click.” Illuminated green LED indicates “on.”
For a classic Cry Baby sound, engage the yellow Fasel inductor by pushing the INDUCTOR switch to its “in” position (indicated by illuminated yellow LED).
For a deeper wah sound with increased fundamental, engage the red Fasel inductor by setting the INDUCTOR switch to its “out” position (indicated by illuminated red LED).
To boost your wah signal, push in the BOOST switch (indicated by an illuminated blue LED) and use the BOOST VOLUME knob to set the desired boost level (up to +20dB).
Use internal TRIMPOTS to adjust the Q of each Fasel inductor—rotate clockwise for a narrower bandpass or counter-clockwise for a wider bandpass.
Located under the rocker at the heel of the pedal is an adjustable torque clutch that allows the amount of resistance the rocker has to be moved. Turn clockwise to increase resistance or counterclockwise to decrease resistance. (Wrench included).

UPPER TRIMPOT controls Q of a yellow inductor
