Large Antique Meissen Porcelain Covered Tureen/ 8 Miniatures/ Germany C.1900

Description

A very fine Meissen ( likely ) porcelain covered tureen, with gold gilded number to the underside.
Germany, circa 1900.
This is a very large and outstanding antique porcelain tureen. ALL hand painted and decorated on the lid and bowl.
The lid has a cherub carrying a bottle and cup.
4 different hand painted cartouche on the lid, 2 depicting persons in a landscape scene, the other 2 flowers motifs.
The main body also has 4 hand painted cartouche, same as the lid, but with different scenes and larger size.
I repeat ALL 8 cartouche shows a high quality hand painted work of art.
Unfortunately, I didn’t see any mark of Meissen, only number 99 to the underside of the bowl. But for the quality of the painting and the quality of the porcelain, for me, it is a Meissen work.

W : 13 inches ( 33 cm ) maximum wide.
Weight : 13 lb 6.9 oz ( 6 kgs 92 grams )
This heavy weight reflects my opinion of being a Meissen work.
The provenance of this piece : a house of a senior lady who had a hundreds of Meissen pieces. ( one of the reasons why I considered it as Meissen work).
No chips, cracks or any damage.
