Euro SALM can trace their roots to pre-WWII Italy, where they began in Turin (Torino) in 1936 as a manufacturer of industrial concrete equipment.  The company still exists today, though though much larger and more diversified, since merging in the early '90s with IMAS S.r.l.  The modern company is named "ESAM S.r.l."  They are still based in Turin, and you can research the operation and history on their website (ESAMItaly).

CONDITION...
]
- Beautiful vintage as-found condition
- It has lovely age-appropriate tarnish/patina and paint loss, though about 80% of the original blue paint is still there.  (No, the raised areas were never painted; only the recesses were.)
- The entire sign is very slightly curved, as you see in that last photo.  There are no signs of abuse -- such as tool marks from prying it off a wall, or surface damage from being run over by a truck.  So, my
guess
is that the sign was actually pressed into that shape and mounted on a slightly-curved wall or foundation.
The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?)  It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that

about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.
