    Description

Beautiful outstanding fossil coral geode from Georgia.  Two pockets of agatized coral botryoidal formations composed of translucent agate that fluoresces under UV black light. The pocket that looks smaller in the photo extends deep into the geode. Cut edge can be polished to a glassy sheen if so desired. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. Photos don't do it justice.
An excellent addition to a fossil, rock, or mineral collection or for jewelry applications.  Photos taken dry.
    Approx measurements are 4" x 3.5" x 2.5" and weight is over 1 lb.
Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and writing about it at zookeeperfossils on Blogger.  eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit.
COMBINED SHIPPING IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE and I will refund excess postage through PayPal when needed.
    Thank you!
