    Description

Outstanding 3 piece fossil coral geode from Georgia with multiple interior pockets of beautiful botryoidal formations composed of thick translucent amber agate that fluoresces on the edges under UV black light. There is even a small section of druzy. Amazing! Cut edges can be polished to a glassy shine. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. Great collectors item. Photos taken dry.  Excellent addition to a rock, mineral, or fossil collection or for research or education.
Approximate overall measurements are 7" x 6" x 2" and weight is over 2 lbs.
Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's scale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work.
I'm out there collecting and cutting these great rocks myself and writing about it at zookeeperfossils on Blogger.  eBay sales help support my rockhounding habit.
Combined shipping is always available and I will refund excess postage through PayPal when needed.
    Thank you!
