Description

This is a colorful SOUP TUREEN SET from MINTONS - beautifully decorated with handpainted, raised enamel, multicolored flowers. The pattern name ALMA - is found on the Tureen and the Underplate along with the maker's initials 'M & Co.'. The soup bowls are marked with the traditional Minton's globe logo.
All pieces bear the same Registry number: Rd.No. 654443 (1916). The intensity of the color does vary a bit from piece to piece as they were hand painted by different decorators - (indicated by the various hand written numbers on the back of each piece) - and over a period of time as indicated by the different impressed date marks (many illegible).
