    Antique GL Ashworth And Brothers Imari Ironstone Sauce Tureen And Under plate.
    This is a GORGEOUS G L Ashworth And Brothers Imari sauce tureen and under plate. This early Ironstone tureen was made by Geo L. Ashworth and Brothers between 1862-1891. The pottery was located at Broad Street works, Sheldon (Hanley) Stoke on Trent, England. This company was later renamed Mason’s Ironstone China Ltd.
    This piece is a stunning Imari style lidded tureen with under plate. It is a floral designed piece with gilded accents. It features beautiful colors of dark blue, rust ,white and gold. This old tureen is in good condition. There is a small chip at the bottom of the tureen. See photo. The handles on the tureen dish have had what appears to be some repair with gold paint and looks to be missing the small pieces on the edge of the handle. The tureen has no cracks . The paint is is beautiful shape other than some wear on the gold edge of the dish. This is quite beautiful . It is a hard to find piece. There are not many that survived with the under plate intact. See photos for condition, this is very old and is sold as is.
